Totally worth the adventure but you do have to arrive by motor boat or kayak for this one. (Oak Island is currently closed for the 2024 summer season due to black bear risks. Please check the National Lakeshore website for current updates and closures if you are thinking about visiting some of the islands.)
Madeline Island Casper and Nucy Meech Trail : This is a simple dirt packed trail within walking distance to the ferry. It is an easy and peaceful woodland hike for a perfect afternoon stroll.
