Do we need sea kayaking experience?
No, we offer about 30 minutes of instruction before every tour and have had guests of all levels of experience. With that being said, we do require some level of physical fitness and both paddlers need to be able to endure 4+ miles(equivalent to 4 miles of hiking) while on the water.
Do we get to go into the sea caves?
Yes, absolutely! The Apostle Islands hold some of the longest stretches of sandstone sea caves in the world. Meyers Beach and Devils Island are home to two of these. This is weather and wave dependent but most tours will be able to explore 5-10 sea caves along with many other beautiful sandstone features.
What is the cancellation policy?
We offer 100% refund due to wave or wind cancellations made by your guide. You are also able to move your booking to a different time slot or day depending on availability. We also offer a voucher to be able to book at another time. We do not offer refunds for any other reason. Is kayak gear provided?
Yes, we provide top of the line gear and have everything you need for your adventure. We suggest bringing your own water and snacks if needed.
What do we wear for our kayak tour?
Light, breath-able clothing that dries quickly is recommended. A swimsuit is needed for under wetsuit during early and late season. Extra layers and a wind/waterproof jacket is also helpful as the weather can change very quickly. Comfortable shoes or sandals that can get wet also help, but most guests go barefoot.
